2009 – Derynia Village Collection

MedWeds wedding arrangement fee and personal wedding co-ordinators are included in these Derynia Village Collections. These Collections are based on 12, 20, & 29 people including the bride and groom, but can be adjusted for any number of guests.The groom and guests will be collected in the traditional village bus from their accommodation, whilst the bride and person giving her away will be collected from their accommodation and driven in a white Mercedes to the Derynia Folkloric Museum. If you wish to complete your wedding with a horse and carriage then the Mercedes limousine will meet the horse and carriage on the outskirts of the village and then the horse and carriage will arrive at the Derynia Folkloric Museum, it will wait and then take the bride and groom to the Derynia Taverna.
Your wedding co-ordinator will deliver the flowers to your accommodation where the bride will be given either a long or round bridal superior bouquet of roses, one round superior bridesmaid bouquet of roses will be delivered for the bridesmaid if you have more bridesmaids then additional bouquets can be ordered. 4 rose superior buttonholes and 2 rose superior corsages are included for your principle guests. One table decoration of roses for the reception is also included.
The Mayor wearing his chain of office will be waiting at the Derynia Folkloric Museum along with the photographer and videographer who will to capture your wedding day when many photos will be taken. The Derynia Folkloric Museum depicts life as it was for the Cypriots many years ago and this museum is a typical Cypriot house split into individual separate rooms, one of the rooms is where your wedding will be performed with a table in the centre of the room with a table decoration display with candles, these are blown out by the bride and groom to make a wish for their future happiness. A DVD is also included in the Collections for you to treasure and show to family and friends unable to be with you in Cyprus. The wedding album of 36 photos and DVD will be completed at the Taverna where the wedding cake(s) will be waiting for you
A sponge or fruit wedding cake with cake stand and silver plated wedding knife will be waiting at the taverna.
A meze is served at the reception where you can experience the many interesting dishes of dips, salads, meats, vegetables and fruits that Cyprus has to offer. Unlimited carafes of local red and white wine along with water and a Cyprus coffee is also included. This Taverna is highly recommended, so you will be spoilt with not only the quality of the traditional home cooked food but the quantity served! The Taverna was built in 1885 and depicts Cypriot architecture of it’s time. The summer aromas of its seasonal garden with lemon trees, olive trees, basil and flowers bring out the sense of travelling through the cool dew of a beautiful Aegean morning!
MedWeds will decorate the tables with personalised place cards, Bomboniere’s, table confetti and much more! Greek musicians and dancers are available upon request (subject to availability).
After your reception you will all be driven back to your accommodation including the bride and groom in either an air conditioned mini bus or coach where you can relax and reflect on experiencing your wedding in a traditional Cypriot setting. If the wedding couple would prefer to have their own transport we will be pleased to give you a quote.
