Ian & Julia

Ian and Julia were thrilled to plan their individual Exclusive Wedding with us and have given us their permission to show photos and information. We would, of course, not disclose what they paid for their Wedding but we would be only too pleased to discuss with you all your requirements and give you the best price possible for a similar Wedding.

Ian & Julia decided to stay in a hotel in Limassol and have a Church wedding at St George’s Church, Troodos Mountains. The drive from Limassol to this amazing Anglican Church tucked in the mountains is approximately 40 minutes away. This was the first Wedding performed in this Church which has a history of approximately 75 years!

The refreshing smell of the pine trees and cooler temperature to the heat on the coast in August is quite exhilarating. The spectacular views that everyone enjoyed on such a happy day will last forever we were told.

After the breathtaking views from the Church to the village where the Taverna is situated we stopped at the village Church for the couple to be serenaded to the Taverna with all the guests following. With a cascade of Champagne glasses and Champagne flowing awaiting them, the bride, groom and guests were soon relaxing in a picturesque taverna deep in the heart of the Troodos Mountains, with Greek music gently playing in the background.

The reception was held in a taverna which boasts probably one of the best meze’s you will ever experience in Cyprus, with home cooking from Mother, son and family. All drinks were provided for all the guests of local beer, wine and local spirits for everyone to feel free to drink as much as they could consume!

A two tier wedding cake was presented on a decorated cake stand with a silver plated decorated knife to make the cut into the delicious sponge or fruit cake. All the guests received a Bomboniere each, and the principle guests table was laid out with handmade place settings as keepsakes. All the tables glistened with metallic confetti and helium filled balloons swayed in the air from all the tables. The bride and groom’s table was decorated with fresh flower displays with balloons drifting in the air.

After their speeches the evening was livened up with a DJ and Ian & Julia commenced the dancing with ‘their song’ a beautiful Julio Iglesias number and then everyone danced the night away to their favourite 70’s, 80’s music.

After a wonderful evening the bride and groom prior to leaving in a chauffeur driven car to take them back to their hotel in Limassol, stopped to give Julia time to throw her bouquet to waiting ladies to catch, in the hope of being the next bride!
