2008 Terms & Conditions

All prices and conditions are correct at time of going to press, but can be subject to change without prior written notice. It is your responsibility to ensure that you bring all the original and certified documents required for your wedding to Cyprus. Failure to do so may result in your wedding being cancelled. MedWeds cannot be held responsible for incorrect paperwork once you arrive in resort.
Compulsory Wedding Arrangement Fee and deposits are non refundable. (Paid in Sterling)
Civil/Anglican – Wedding Arrangement Fee deposit £200 – Further £200 to be paid on date specified* Total £400
Blessing – Blessing Arrangement Fee deposit £100 – Further £100 to be paid on date specified* Total £200
Civil & Blessing (on same day) – Wedding Arrangement fee deposit £225 – Further £225 to be paid on date specified* Total £450
Catholic – Wedding Arrangement Fee deposit £200 – Further £200 to be paid on date specified* Total £400 (Please note Civil wedding must precede Catholic wedding)
Olympian, Troodos & Special Collections 25% deposit ** - Further 75% to be paid 12 weeks prior to your wedding or blessing date.  This is to be transferred to our Cyprus bank account in Euros.
Larnaca, Latchi, Pissouri & Polis (If staying in these areas or marrying in a different area to where you are staying– Wedding arrangement fee £250 – Further £250 to be paid on date specified* Total £500
Amendments to wedding arrangements – should you wish to change your wedding date/venue/time then there will be an administration charge of £25 to make the required changes.  We may waiver one charge prior to receiving our Booking form.
Payment for ‘Extra Touches’
16 weeks prior to your wedding we must receive your final requirements when 100% of the full amount for ‘Extra Touches’ must be paid 12 weeks prior to your wedding date. This amount is to be transferred in Euros into MedWeds Cyprus bank account. MedWeds bank details to be supplied, or you may pay by credit card where there is a service charge applied.
If payment is received late or incorrectly then you will be subject to an additional administration fee of €45 / CY£26.34.
Marriage Licence fees, additional Town Hall fees, Blessing and venue fees are to be paid in Euros in cash in resort – to be advised by MedWeds.
Church ceremony fees are as follows:-
Church fees for all areas apart from Paphos must be paid in resort in Euros cash to the Church. If you cancel your wedding within 6 weeks of your wedding date then half the Church fees must be paid to MedWeds to pay the Church in Cyprus or you can pay them directly. Paphos Church weddings require half as a deposit Sterling £225 once your booking is confirmed and the balance is payable in Euros cash in resort.
Adams Beach Chapel, Aeneas Beach Church, Golden Coast Chapel, Grecian Sands Chapel €600 (€300 cancellation fee within 6 weeks of wedding)
Ayia Kyriaki Church & St. George Church (Anglican) €600 (deposit payable of £225 sterling cheque made payable to ‘The Anglican Church of Paphos’ once booking confirmed)
Ayia Kyriaki Church & St. George Church (Catholic Donation) €513 approx.
Terra Santa Catholic Church (Catholic Donation)
St. Barnabus €600 (€300 cancellation fee)
St. Helena & Palm Beach Chapel €600 (€300 cancellation fee within 6 weeks of wedding)
Columbia Beach Chapel, Pissouri €600 (€300 cancellation fee within 6 weeks of wedding)
St George in the Forest, Troodos €600 (€300 cancellation fee within 6 weeks of wedding) plus fee for Organist (if applicable) & travel fee for Vicar.

The Wedding Arrangement Fee, Olympian, Troodos & Special Collections must be paid as stated, if this is not received by the due date we will be entitled to cancel your wedding. Any deposits & Wedding Arrangement Fee already paid will be forfeited.

Cancellation charges for Extra Touches, Olympian, Troodos & Special

It is agreed between us that should you wish to cancel all or any part of your booking, or the booking is cancelled by us due to non-payment then we shall be entitled to the following percentage of any extras requested by yourselves:
 
Between 90-60 days notice 50%
59-30 days notice 80%
29-8 days notice 90%
7 days or less ‘No Show’ or after arrival in Cyprus you decide not to get married 100%.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THE COMMENTS BELOW

We can only co-ordinate your wedding when you book MedWeds recommended suppliers.  If you do not wish to book MedWeds suppliers you will forfeit any complimentary gifts offered from MedWeds plus we reserve the right to cancel your wedding and any money paid will be forfeited. 

This relates to your wedding cake, limousines, guests transport, flowers, photography & horse & carriage.  This policy has been made through experience over the years that your wedding would not run smoothly without our professional team of suppliers.

Also MedWeds has an extensive decoration service so why take up valuable space in your suitcases when we can supply everything you need in Cyprus.

When your booking form and payment is received within 14 days from confirmation of your wedding date we will be pleased to offer you a complimentary one tier sponge wedding cake with royal icing (subject to reception venue).  If you book one of our Olympian Collections and do not require an additional cake we will be pleased to offer you an additional bottle of French Champagne.  Complimentary cakes cannot be deducted to pay for special cake orders, in these circumstances you must pay the full amount for your special cake, and instead we will offer you a complimentary bottle of French Champagne.  Please note all French Champagne supplied by MedWeds is for personal use and cannot be used at your wedding reception.

MedWeds cannot be held responsible if for any reason the date and time of your wedding booked is changed by the Town Hall, Church, MedWeds or any of the suppliers before or upon your arrival in Cyprus. MedWeds also cannot be held responsible if any of our suppliers are unable to provide the goods, venues, yachts*** for your wedding day.  We will, of course, try our best to provide an alternative.
