2010 Terms & Conditions – Please read this carefully!

All prices and conditions are correct at time of going to press, but can be subject to change without prior written notice. It is your responsibility to ensure you remember to bring all your original or certified documents required for your wedding in Cyprus. Failure to do so may result in your wedding being cancelled. MedWeds will check your Statutory Declarations and your Passports but cannot be held responsible for incorrect paperwork once you arrive in resort.

Wedding Arrangement Fee and deposits are non refundable

Civil & Anglican weddings - Wedding Arrangement Fee €550.00 1st deposit €150.00 2nd deposit €400.00
Blessing or Renewal of Vows - Arrangement Fee €300.00 1st deposit €150.00 2nd deposit €150.00
Catholic weddings – Wedding Arrangement Fee €550.00 1st deposit €150.00 2nd deposit €400.00
Larnaca, Latchi, Pissouri & Polis (If staying in these areas or marrying in a different area to where you are staying) there is an additional fee of €150.00
Amendments to any wedding arrangements – should you wish to change any aspect of your wedding there is an administration fee of €50.00 to make the required changes.  We may waiver one charge prior to receiving our Booking form.

Collections – Wedding Arrangement Fee included in all Collections

Olympian, Troodos & Special Collections 25% deposit required - Further 75% to be paid 12 weeks prior to your Wedding or Blessing or Renewal of Vows date.  We will contact you 16 – 20 weeks prior to your wedding for your final requirements.  This is to be transferred to our Cyprus bank account in Euros, we will send you our bank details or you can pay by credit card where there is a service charge applied.

Value for Money deposit €120.00 and Value for Money Plus deposit €250.00.  (2009 prices)

Payment for ‘Extra Touches’

16 – 20 weeks prior to your wedding we will contact you to receive your final requirements then the full amount for your ‘Extra Touches’ must be paid 12 weeks prior to your wedding date. This amount is to be transferred in Euros into MedWeds Cyprus bank account.

Paphos Anglican Church fees (2009 fees)

Paphos Church wedding fees are €650.00 and they require a deposit of half of their fees which is €325.00 and this must be paid within 6 weeks from the date your wedding is confirmed to you.  In resort the balance of €325.00 is payable in Euros in cash to the Church.  These fees are for Ayia Kyriaki (St Paul’s Pillar), St George Church, Hotel & Yacht weddings.  We will send you the details for you to make this payment when we confirm your wedding to you.

Ayia Napa, Larnaca, Protaras & Troodos Anglican Church fees (2009 fees)

Church fees for these areas must be paid in Euros in cash in resort to the Church which are €600.00. If you cancel your wedding within 6 weeks of your wedding date then half the Church fees must be paid by yourself to the Church which is €300.00.

Late payments

The Wedding Arrangement Fee, Olympian, Value for Money, Troodos & Special Collections must be paid as stated, if payment is not received by the due date we will be entitled to cancel your wedding. Any deposits & Wedding Arrangement Fee(s) already paid will be forfeited.

If payment is received late or incorrectly then you will be subject to an additional administration fee of €50.00, this fee maybe added to your final invoice or to be paid in resort in cash in Euros.

Please see our Booking form with regard to cancelling your wedding with MedWeds which reads as follows

It is agreed between us that should you wish to cancel all or any part of your booking, or the booking is cancelled by us due to non-payment then we shall be entitled to the following percentage of any extras requested by yourselves

Between 90-60 days notice 50%
59-30 days notice 80%
29-8 days notice 90%
7 days or less ‘No Show’ or after arrival in Cyprus you decide not to get married 100%

Fees paid direct to Town Halls & Churches not paid to MedWeds

The following fees are not paid to MedWeds they are payable by the wedding couple direct to Town Halls, Churches and Hotels.

Marriage Licence fees, additional Town Hall fees for weddings in hotels.  These fees to be paid in cash in Euros in resort.

Church fees payable as above. 

Hotel venue fees vary from one hotel to another we will advise you of your hotel fees payable.

MedWeds will only co-ordinate your wedding so long as you book all of our suppliers!

It is important to remember that MedWeds will only co-ordinate your wedding so long as you book your wedding cakes, limousines, guests transport, flowers, photography & horse & carriage with MedWeds, if you do not then we reserve the right to cancel your wedding without any monies refunded to yourselves. 

It is impossible for us to co-ordinate your wedding unless we use our experienced and professional suppliers, in the past we allowed friends of wedding couples in Cyprus to help and it has been a nightmare!  If you think you can save a few Euros and arrange something cheaper yourself you probably can but at the expense of quality and time keeping!  

MedWeds has a policy that we will not accept you wedding booking unless you use our recommended suppliers.  In certain circumstances we will waiver you booking your own wedding reception, unless, of course, it is one which we already recommend.  We are now entering our 7th year of co-ordinating weddings and you cannot fault our recommendations of those who have used us for everything and have had the most perfect wedding day.

We can only co-ordinate your wedding when you book MedWeds recommended suppliers.  If you do not wish to book MedWeds suppliers you will forfeit any complimentary gifts offered from MedWeds plus we reserve the right to cancel your wedding and any money paid will be forfeited. 

This relates to your wedding cake(s), limousines, guests transport, flowers, photography & horse & carriage.  This policy has been made through experience over the years that your wedding would not run smoothly without our professional team of suppliers.

Also MedWeds has an extensive decoration service so why take up valuable space in your suitcases when we can supply everything you need in Cyprus.

When your booking form and payment is received within 14 days from confirmation of your wedding date we will be pleased to offer you a complimentary one tier sponge/Madeira wedding cake with regal/royal icing (subject to reception venue) and a bottle of French Champagne.  If you book one of our Olympian Collections and do not require an additional cake we will be pleased to offer you an additional bottle of French Champagne.  Complimentary cakes cannot be deducted to pay for special cake orders, in these circumstances you must pay the full amount for your special cake, instead we will offer you a complimentary bottle of French Champagne.  Please note all French Champagne supplied by MedWeds is for personal use and cannot be used at your wedding reception.

MedWeds cannot be held responsible if for any reason the date and time of your wedding booked is changed by the Town Hall, Church, MedWeds or any of the suppliers before or upon your arrival in Cyprus. MedWeds also cannot be held responsible if any of our suppliers are unable to provide the goods, venues, yachts* for your wedding day.  We will, of course, try our best to provide an alternative.  *Please note the yachts can only sail weather permitting.
